Our students who attended the Kingshill Holidays dance holiday at the King Robert Hotel, Bannockburn from the 3rd to the 7th November 2008 kindly presented us with this collage of pictures taken during the holiday.

David and I have two left feet but wanted to surprise our friends and family at our wedding with a first dance that we could be proud of. We decided to contact George and Janet through finding their details on the Internet.

Before we knew it we were taking our first lesson to our chosen song 'Songbird' by Eva Cassidy. George and Janet had already put some ideas together which we were more than delighted with....problem was getting us to look like them performing it!!!

With many a late night spent practising in between lessons in our rather small living room we would religiously turn up for our weekly one hour lesson and before we knew it we were pro's.....well not quite but along with George and Janet's patience and fantastic teaching we had cracked it!

On the night the look on every ones faces as we swept across the dance floor was priceless! David and I are so happy that we didn't just shuffle through our first dance and now we have the DVD to keep reminding us of what a fantastic and enjoyable experience it was to learn to dance and be taught by two not only fantastic dancers but a lovely couple too.

I would like to recommend Janet and George's dancing classes.

My fiance and myself went for dance lessons prior to getting married. We attended a class whereupon the teacher was not very helpful at all. We attended for 5 weeks and were stuck with the same steps and if we got a step wrong we would just have to fumble along.

We left this class and joined Janet and Georg's dance school. Since then we have came on leaps and bounds, they are very considerate and helpful teachers and would show you the steps individually if need be. We learned more about dancing and how to do it in two weeeks than we had in the other school in 5 weeks.

We are now married and manage to do a nice waltz on our wedding day. All thanks to George & Janet.

We approached Janet and George after having had little success with another dance instructor in Glasgow.

We wanted to prepare something special for the first dance at our wedding. George asked us to give him a song on CD so he could plan a routine. We went for "It Must Be Love" by Madness which George slightly sped up on his computer so we could do a Quickstep routine.

Through a mixture of individual and group lessons, within three months we had mastered George's routine and were able to wow our family and friends on our wedding day.

Janet and George were so friendly and encouraging when we were trying to master the basics that the lessons soon became the highlight of our week.

We enjoyed practicing the routine in our free time, adding a touch of class to the work canteen in the evening!

As well as learning the Quickstep, Janet and George taught us a full Waltz routine and some basic steps for the Foxtrot.

We can't wait till the lessons resume so we can build on these dances and develop our new hobby of ballroom dancing, all thanks to two fantastic instructors whom we heartily recommend.

My wife and I have just returned from the Southport holiday where the dance leaders were George and Janet McDonald. Even though there were only six couples the holiday was delightful thanks to the efforts of George and Janet.

Each and everyone of us would not hesitate to choose another holiday that involves these two leaders such was their charisma and dedication to ensuring the holiday was a success.

This 'Kings-Hill' type holiday was certainly one we will remember for a long time. Hang on to George and Janet if you can - they are one of the jewels in your crown.

However, the dancing was the icing on the cake for us as the dance leaders, George and Janet, were excellent.

As you will know they are beautiful dancers but their teaching, programs and music were first class.

Everything they did was very professional but with a friendly warmth and good humour too.

Dear George and Janet,

I just wanted to express my grateful thanks for your superb help with teaching my rusty feet for my Daughter's Wedding.

Success was borne out when the Bridal Party had a rehearsal the night before the Big Day to ensure we all lead off correctly with the Gay Gordon. It ended up with yours truly showing the others how to do it!!

On the Wedding Day I championed with the Dashing White Sergeant-- being the guy in the middle with two attractive 40 year old twin sisters as my partners. They did have to support me to the bar afterwards where i imbibed about half a gallon of water!!

I managed waltz, quickstep etc. later no trouble at all and a bit of jive also!

All in all a great success and I couldn't have done it without your kind and patient professional expertise. I would have no hesitation in recommending your skills to others.

"You go to so many weddings where the couple shuffles round the dancefloor, but we wanted to do a proper waltz - so we decided to take dance lessons.

We were total beginners, but George and Janet were fantastic. They put us right at ease, and took us back to basics. As the weeks went past, we began to grow more confident.

George and Janet choreographed an entire dance for us to perform at the wedding, and during the run up to the big day, we had private lessons which allowed us to polish up our moves.

The private lessons were great fun too - a break from all the wedding preparations and mayhem. Being able to dance at our wedding was such a thrill - and a real surprise for our guests!"

"Started ballroom dancing about 2 years ago, with another dance tutor, however we really felt we weren't getting anywhere.

I started work in a dance studio where George and Janet where teaching ballroom, mentioned to my partner and decided to attend, nothing to lose really. Turned out to be the best move we ever made, we learned more in one night with George and Janet than the time and fortune we spent the previous year.

We both were so enthusiastic that we couldn't wait to get back the next week.

So on the 22nd December our wedding day we were confident dancers for our first waltz... praise go to both George and Janet for their patience and we now have the bug and want to learn more."
