We are George and Janet McDonald from Renfrew, Scotland, have enjoyed over 14 years in Ballroom and Sequence dancing. During that time they have:

Taught Ballroom and Modern Sequence Dance
Leading dancing,
Lecturing,
Competing in National competitions
   

We have run successful Sequence Dance Clubs, teaching all the latest dances and have organised and taught at Tea Dances for North Lanarkshire Council and Line Dancing over several years as well as teaching Dancing to beginners and advanced pupils.

As Members of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing we hold several qualifications in Modern Ballroom, Classical (Old Time) , Country Western Line Dancing and Club Latino.

We also regularly participate in Modern Sequence Inventive Dance Competitions and have won the British Association of Teachers of Dancing Inventive Dance Competition in the Modern Section in 2001 with the 'Harmony Foxtrot' and more recently in 2007 in the classical section with 'The Lilac Lady Tango'

We have also given demonstrations of Modern Sequence Dancing to local groups and clubs and to promote dance classes organised by North Lanarkshire Council.

We have also lectured in Modern Ballroom and Modern Sequence to BATD Members and George has also been a judge at a number of Line Dance competitions.

We are experienced Dance Teachers having participated in Gala Sequence Dances at Blackpool and Southport as well as organising their own Sequence Dance Holidays to Southport and St Annes on Sea.

In the past we have been employed by McColl's Hotel in Dunoon to run their Dancing Holidays providing dance tuition and leading the dance sessions.

In addition we are employed by Kingshill Holidays to lead the dancing and teach new dances in some of their Modern Sequence Dance Holidays in a variety of locations thoughout the UK.

Through 1st2Dance George and Janet are now offering a new series of Modern Ballroom lessons for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS in Renfrew Town Hall, Renfrew to encourage more people to take up this social, enjoyable and medically recommended form of mental and physical exercise.
